National Philanthropy Day observances are held throughout our country
in order to set aside a special day to recognize and pay tribute to
the great contributions that philanthropy – and those
people active in the philanthropic community – have made
to our lives, our communities, our national and our world.
National Philanthropy Day provides an opportunity to acknowledge the
entire spectrum of services provides by the nonprofit sector and to
recognize the profound impact that philanthropy has made on our society.
Family Foundations was delighted to be able to honor David and Adeline Dobson
for their contributions to our organization. The Dobson’s gave themselves
the challenge of doing a
Sporting Clays Fundraiser
for us in 2003. After that
first success, they have turned this into a wonderful annual event that has
raised over $50,000 for our agency. Every spring, we have teams of shooters
who have a great time of competition and fun, while raising needed funds.
David and Adeline are shining examples of highly committed and dedicated
supporters of our mission. We can’t thank them enough for all they do.
